I love lace. So much so that my wedding dress was made from Chantilly lace. There's something about the intricacy of this beautiful and delicate fabric that fascinates me, it's timeless and looks great on anyone. Therefore, it will come as no surprise that when I first laid eyes on the designs from Lucentia my heart gave a little flutter. I was introduced to the brand at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair and their lampshades have been on my wishlist ever since. Thanks to their innovative method of capturing fabric in plastic I can finally use lace in my home without having to resort to lace curtains.

Cocktail Hour

I want, want, want a cocktail chair for our bedroom. The only thing is, so does everyone else and therefore they don't come cheap. I've brought together a little selection of chairs that have caught my eye. Not all colour combinations would work in my newly decorated bedroom but it's still feels good to have a look.

I have made it my mission to own one of these little darlings and so when I do eventually save enough money, to click that purchase button, it will feel that bit sweeter.

Pump It Up

#Shelfie

I found myself perusing the home pages of H&M just the other day and my basket filled up quite quickly. I've been on the look out for a soap dispenser and this little beauty caught my eye. I fell for it's industrial and vintage look, with imperfect glass, metal pump and worn numbers and lettering. For six English pounds, I could hardly say no. It is now sitting pretty on my bathroom shelf alongside my cute ikea brush holder.

Where do you stand when it comes to the industrial and vintage interior vibes? Still love it or want it to go away?

Mini Interiors Update

Our master bedroom update is looking mighty fine, even if I do say so myself. However, taking some good quality shots is proving difficult. It seems I need more time, daylight and money (a swanky camera is sure to help, right?)

One Whole Year

Today I am patting myself on the back...I've completed one whole year of blogging here at Happy Little Places. Yay!

I am pretty proud of this milestone because it really does take a lot of dedication to keep up with a blog. (This is something I didn't quite realise whilst sitting on the other side of a laptop screen.) I have thoroughly enjoyed coming up with content for these pages and I hope you've enjoyed reading them. Whether you're a new reader or someone who may have followed from the first post, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Official

I decided the other day to make Happy Little Places a tad more official. Allow me to introduce my shiny new business cards. I created my own design using Easy Print and all for free. Thankfully they lived up to their name, as it really was super easy. I uploaded my logo, input the text I wanted, as well as the cute little house image and voilà! I'll be cracking out these beauties at any future networking events.

3 / One Pic Wednesday

Now that we've done all the major decorating and furniture building in our master bedroom (which I promise to reveal soon). I've instantly moved onto the finishing touches. I've had my heart set on a little perfume vignette much like the one above and so I've made it my task to recreate it. The foundation for this look is a beautiful mirrored vanity tray and so I'm currently trying to hunt one down. I think it also gives me the perfect excuse to add to my perfume collection ;-)
